    Offline Patches for M$ Windows

I'm in an organization which having much older desktop PC running using windows9x (thats including windows 95, 98, ME).

We introduction client/server base antivirus. (Trend Micro SMB). It's require to update windows patches as up-to-date.

Thats much effort needs to be done when user needs to download from windowsupdate.microsoft.com. I don't trust the users.

I being use autopatcher from www.autopacher.com since 2003 to cut time for patch downloads. Now M$ urge to stop them Aug 2007.

It is sad and pain for me.

    Hi,

The Client OS that you have is obselete, Microsoft no longer support that.

It is the right time for you to propose new infrastructure to your boss.

Use SMS for patch management. I doing great with that. Or else try WSUS, its free and easy to use.
